The Lobster Trap

LISTEN UP!

The last time I was at The Lobster Trap was close to 2.5 years ago, precisely when the seafood restaurant had a promotional coupon going on. Hey what can I say, I love deals and I love seafood. I'm Asian after all.

Our server came over to show us what a 4 lb live lobster looks like.

My friend and I each ordered an entree (each entree comes with garlic bread and a choice of side). We also had a bottle of their house white wine.

BASKET OF GARLIC ROLLS

APPETIZER

COCONUT SHRIMPS ($14)
I seriously really, really like these shrimps. They made a really good impression on me the last time I was there so I decided to order them again. I was a bit nervous that they won't be the same but *phew* they were just as good as I remember them to be. Fried shrimps coated with shredded coconut. Nommmmmm.

JUMBO GARLIC SHRIMPS ($32)
This was my friend's entree. No puny and scrawny shrimps here; theses were some giant plump prawns. Seasoned with garlic, all you need is a squeeze of lemon on these bad boys. No need for the seafood sauce at all.

1.5 LB BROILED LOBSTER ($45)
This was my entree. I really considered getting the 2 lb but I don't know, seems a bit excessive (although I did have a 2 lb lobster all by myself before at The Lobster Trap).

Just like the coconut shrimps appetizer, I remember how tasty my broiled lobster was two years ago (you can choose either broiled or steamed) and yeah, nothing has changed. The broiled lobster at The Lobster Trap is still off-the-hook!

POTATO (side)

GARDEN SALAD (side)

Back to the lobster meatsss! Oh yeah, don't forget to use that warm butter. SO good.

We like to play with our food.

The Lobster Trap is a casual seafood restaurant so don't expect anything fancy (i.e. not much in terms of decor and no white tablecloth service). But what you ARE going to get is some DAMN GOOD LOBSTER!
